1. Who we are
ClassToo ("ClassToo," "we," "us," or "our") provides studio management software for independent fitness, dance, martial arts, arts, and enrichment studios. Our platform is available at classtoo.com. Questions about this policy can be directed to support@classtoo.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
- Information you provide: When a studio enrolls a student or staff member through ClassToo, the studio administrator enters names, email addresses, phone numbers, class assignments, and related records.
- Account information: Studio owners and staff create accounts with an email address and password.
- Usage data: We collect standard server logs, including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited, to operate and improve the service.
3. SMS messaging — how we use phone numbers
ClassToo offers an optional SMS messaging add-on that allows studio administrators to send text messages to enrolled families and staff about class schedules, attendance, announcements, and other studio-related updates.
Consent: Phone numbers are collected during the enrollment process. By providing a phone number, families consent to receive SMS messages from their studio via ClassToo. Consent is optional — families may decline SMS notifications at enrollment or opt out at any time.
Message types: Class updates, attendance notifications, schedule changes, studio announcements, and reminders.
Frequency: Message frequency varies by studio activity.
Rates: Message and data rates may apply.
To opt out: Reply STOP to any message. You will receive one final confirmation and no further messages. To re-enable, reply START.
Help: Reply HELP for help, or contact your studio directly.
SMS messages are sent on behalf of individual studios. ClassToo acts as the technology provider; the studio is responsible for the content of messages sent to their families.
4. How we use your information
- To provide and operate the ClassToo platform for studios and their families
- To send SMS and email notifications on behalf of studios (with recipient consent)
- To process payments for subscriptions and add-ons
- To respond to support requests
- To improve the service and diagnose technical issues
- To comply with legal obligations
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. We do not share phone numbers or email addresses with advertisers or unrelated third parties.
We share information only as follows:
- Service providers: We use Twilio to deliver SMS messages, Resend/Nodemailer for email delivery, and Stripe/Square for payment processing. These providers access only the data necessary to perform their specific function and are bound by their own privacy policies.
- Studios: Student and family records are accessible to the studio's authorized administrators and staff.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of ClassToo and its users.
6. Data retention
We retain student and enrollment records for as long as a studio account is active, or as needed to provide services. Studios may delete student records at any time from within ClassToo. Upon account closure, data is deleted within 90 days unless retention is required by law.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted connections (HTTPS), Firebase authentication, and Firestore security rules to protect data in transit and at rest. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
ClassToo is a business tool used by studio administrators. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Student records — including information about minors — are entered by studio administrators, who are responsible for obtaining appropriate parental consent as required by applicable law.
9. Your choices
- SMS opt-out: Reply STOP to any message, or ask your studio administrator to update your preferences in ClassToo.
- Email opt-out: Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact your studio directly.
- Data access or deletion: Contact your studio administrator to update or remove your records, or submit a request to support@classtoo.com. See also our Data Deletion page.
10. California residents (CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact support@classtoo.com.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of ClassToo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
